Shop Dad Tony Pereira
Posted on 03 June 2014
Tony Pereira’s garage shop is something to behold. While most dads have a sweet tinkering spot, this garage is the birthplace of projects that go beyond fixing an old radio. Tony is well known for manning Pereira Cycles, his line of custom hand-built steel bikes, founded in 2006 after years of bike shop work and free-time welding. These days the shop also supports the production of Breadwinner Cycles, which he founded in 2013 with fellow bike veteran Ira Ryan. Using fillet-brazing and modern steels, Tony matches traditional techniques with modern craftsmanship. Framebuilding is a mix of grit and precision - just like bike riding… and life! Check out the new goods, our father's day favorites, and where the work happens (with some help from Tony's little dude, Oscar).
