Our First Product Test: the XtremKey by LaCie

The XtremKey 8gb USB Flash Drive - LaCie introduced this drive to the world with a fun video of it enduring various hardships - wanting to have some fun ourselves we decided to replicate their tests with a bit more grit thrown in for good measure. We found that there are limits to the abuse it can take - we had to pry it open after it got dented up and if it had been a deeper wound we doubt the data would have survived. But as it turned out everything was good - our verdict is that if you aren't going out of your way to find trouble the XtremKey has you covered.
